Undergo the crazy, anxiety ridden, expensive, long, terrifying, ridiculous process of immigration. 6 months into the process, and we're still waiting... Probably another 6 more to go.
I think "Half Blood Prince" is my favorite. Not quite sure why, but it really shows Harry growing up and becoming a man and it sets the way for all the great things to happen. And you have to love the cliff hanger at the end!
Well, Matt and I met on a Harry Potter Smut Fanfiction website in a chat room.
I think that's pretty awesome, lol
By the way... www.restrictedsection.org !

Greek! I love all the cheese, bread and pasta!! My three favorite foods rolled all into one ethnic cuisine!
Depends on who the visitor is... If it were Matt, I'd say my boobs. Anyone else - Deception Pass Bridge :D
The people who have to suck poo out of Porta-Potties. (Though I've heard they make great money!)
Plates upon plates of every type of cheese imaginable and loaves and loaves of delicious types of bread. And to wash it all down... Framboise Lambic!
I just made mashed potatoes, chicken and corn and peas to bring to work for dinner tonight! No more calories than one of those frozen meals and a hell of a lot more tasty!
Well, I managed to find Matt from 5000 miles away. I would say that it is a pretty good reason to believe in fate.
Well, since Matt refuses to let our potential (in the long distant future) child be named Gwendolyn, or Gwen for short, I'm going to have to go with that one, just to bug him!
I was at the laundromat today and sitting on one of the tables was a "New Yorker" from 1983. Now, where the hell this magazine appeared from, I have no idea, as it's older than my little brother, and nearly as old as me.
Anyway, there was a cartoon in it of a guy surrounded by cats, clearly being overwhelmed, and the caption underneath it said
"I'm like a duck. Placid on the surface, but paddling like hell."
I don't know what it was about it, but it really hit me... Most of the time that's how I feel... I can come across like everything is fine. I can put on a smile, and show everyone this placid demeanor, like everything is fine, but underneath it all, I'm just paddling enough to keep myself afloat. To look at me, it's calm, but inside, I'm a torrent of everything... I just feel so overwhelmed right now, by everything. Just when I think one thing is going right, something else pops up in its place to throw things off. And it's made all the more hard becuase I know what I want, so badly. I know what I need, and even though, I sort of have it, I don't. Everything just always seems a little bit out of reach. I have to stretch one arm to get what I want, but that only takes the other arm further away from what it was reaching for...

I think like most people, I am guilty of them all at some point in my life.
Sloth - I slept in 1/2 an hour this morning. Of course, I got off work at 11 last night, and have to be to work at 9:30 this morning, so you can't blame me too bad for that one...
Greed - I'm pulling a double today so I can do training so I can get a pay raise. I don't know if that is so much greed, as just good business in this day and age...
Lust - Oh yes please. This is probably the one that I have committed the most throughout my adult life. Especially with Matt ;)
Gluttony - Well, I didn't get this fat by not being gluttonous... This is one that I have managed to change, however. Not just in a food sort of way, but also in a money and consumption of goods way.
Anger - Mhm. I'm quick to anger, but also quick to forgive.
Envy - I'm a girl. I don't think I need to say anything else :P I just spent $25 on a Baby Phat scrub top cause 1. I love it. 2. The girls will be envious :D
Pride - I'm a very prideful person. Not to the point of pushing people away, but it is certainly there, and can get in the way sometimes.
And this thing forgot Wrath...
Wrath - Don't cross me. I've got a sharp wit and an even sharper tongue ;)

Well... I guess I kind of sort of stole Matt. However, can one really steal someone from another person that wasn't really theirs to begin with? Let's just say that I simply made him see how wonderful and special he is and that he deserved a lot more than she could ever begin to think of offering him.
Guilt? Not a drop of it. I love him, and we were meant to be together. Soul mates, life partners, made for one another. He's my missing piece, and I love him more than life itself. Who could feel guilty about that?

Blah blah blah, strengthen the economy... Blah blah blah, health care. Blah blah blah greatest nation in the world...
But seriously... Did you see Michelle Obama's dress? Blech! I thought it was horrid! The green was pretty, but the design on the fabric was matronly. And the shoes!? Seriously... The dress, shoes and gloves, all a different shade of green. The style of the dress was very reminiscent of Jackie O (Quite obviously on purpose, as she has been compared to her a number of times already.) And in a couple of pictures, her hair looks all f-ed up in the back.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm all excited about having Obama in office. But her outfit was (excuse the newly cliche term) a "hot mess."

It wasn't something that I "always" wanted someone to ask me, until I met him...
But, I knew a couple days after the first time he said that he loved me that I'd love for him to ask me to marry him :)

It's hard enough doing a Top 10 list, that there's no way that I can put them into order as to what one hast more importance over another. So, in no particular order, here they are, my top 10...
1. My niece Savannah's birth.
2. Seeing Sarah Brightman in concert!
3. Falling in love with Matt.
4. Losing 55 pounds.
5. Quitting smoking.
6. Going to New York and seeing my family that I haven't seen for 11 years.
7. Paying off my car.
8. Finding Twilight!
9. Getting Matt's plane ticket to come here.
10. Spending each day with my fluffy kitty.

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest and on an island, I don't think that I could ever live away from the ocean. When I was really little, we lived in North Carolina on the coast. Then we moved here in 1986 to the island. In 2000, I moved away to a college, right on the ocean in Bellingham, Washington. Then I moved back here again to my island.
If life does take me off of the island, I hope that I can still live near the water. If not the ocean, then a large lake, river, pond, etc. It just wouldn't feel right not having the ocean.
When I was a teenager, during my tough times, I used to drive down to the ocean after school or during my lunch break and watch the waves break on the rocks at West Beach.
I live close enough to the mountains that I get the best of that as well. The Island is flanked on either side by the Olympic Mountains (of Twilight fame!!) and on the other side, the Cascade mountains. On a clear day (we don't get TOO many) I can see Mt. Baker when I walk out of my front door.
I love my home. It is the most beautiful place in the United States that I have ever been (And I have driven across country 3 times!)

Three years ago when Amy and I went to see Sarah Brightman's Harem concert, it was AMAZING!!!!! We had awesome tickets and were about 5 feet from the catwalk leading out from the stage. Her concerts are not just about music. They are a complete experience. Visually and audibly.
A week from tomorrow, we are going to see her "Symphony" concert which has a very Gothic feel to it. I can only imagine the treats that we are in for! And, even though we didn't quite get the tickets we wanted (They were sold out in 2 minutes) we did get really good tickets fro $75 each!!
Yay!!!!!!!
Here's just a sample of the concert that we saw 3 years ago...

I thought this was a question from a really long time ago... But I'll do it again.
The only one that really makes me sad is Firefly. I will admit, I didn't watch it while it was on t.v., but I have seen (and now own) the entire series. So, so sad. I wanted so much more. The movie was... ok. But it certainly didn't fulfill the potential that a long running show would have!

Naked Matt in a big red bow! Unfortunately, I know that there's no chance of that one :( I guess I'll have to go with a flat screen computer monitor so I can move my computer off my kitchen table. That's pretty much the only thing I asked for... I'd like a gym membership as well, but I we'll see.
Really, I don't expect a big Christmas this year, and really, it doesn't matter. What I want more than anything would be to spend Christmas with Matt, but as I said above, however, that's not going to happen.
I just hope that everyone likes their handmade gifts and that I get my dad's USMC seal stitched in time!
